Six-Mile Creek Trail

Six-Mile Creek

From the intersection of the South Bay Trail and the Six-Mile Creek Trail, turn right/north and hike toward the lake for 0.1 miles. Here you will find the intersection with the Olmstead Pond trail and a trail register (please sign in). Turn left/west and follow this yellow-marked trail counter-clockwise around Olmstead Pond, passing a couple nice tent sites and a lean-to campsite. When you rejoin the Six-Mile Creek Trail, turn right/south and follow this blue-marked trail for 2.4 miles to Cowhorn Pond.
At Cowhorn Pond, a yellow-marked spur trail turns left and leads to an excellent lean-to campsite. Once back on the blue-marked Six-Mile Creek Trail, continue straight past the pond and up the hill to Cowhorn Junction. Total distance from South Bay Trail to Cowhorn Junction is 5.5 miles.
