5 Ponds Partners

Cranberry Lake 50 is a project of Five Ponds Partners (a subcommittee of the Clifton-Fine Economic Development Corporation). We exist to challenge you to explore and experience the diversity of the lake, ponds, and woods of the northwest Adirondacks.

We suggest that you choose a route that can be accomplished in multiple days or seasons. Alternative entry points are possible and extended side trips will be tempting.

Please read the trail rules here.

After you finish the entire trail you may get a patch for your pack. Please send a donation to the Five Ponds Partners to cover the cost of the patch and shipping to:
Bill Gleason  P.O. Box 142  Wanakena, NY 13695  When you finish the loop we hope that you will display the Cranberry Lake 50 patch and share your experiences with others.

Our members volunteer their time and talents to implement the following Mission.

MISSION OF 5 PONDS PARTNERS COMMITTEE

In order to promote sustainable economic development in Clifton-Fine (Northwestern Adirondack Park) and adjacent areas, the natural beauty and forest recreation resources of this part of the park need to be accessible to area residents and visitors. The approved trails, trailheads, and canoe routes must be open, safe, and advertised to outdoor enthusiasts who visit our area. This committee will work to insure that forest recreation resources existing now and in the future on State-owned lands and easements in the Clifton-Fine area are maintained and promoted.
