The 5 Ponds Partners is a subcommittee of the Clifton-Fine Economic Development Corporation. The members volunteer their time and talents to implement the following Mission.  

MISSION OF 5 PONDS PARTNERS COMMITTEE

In order to promote sustainable economic development in Clifton-Fine (Northwestern Adirondack Park) and adjacent areas, the natural beauty and forest recreation resources of this part of the park need to be accessible to area residents and visitors. The approved trails, trailheads, and canoe routes must be open, safe, and advertised to outdoor enthusiasts who visit our area. This committee will work to insure that forest recreation resources existing now and in the future on State-owned lands and easements in the Clifton-Fine area would be maintained and promoted. 

·        The Committee realizes that canoeing, snowmobiling, hiking, cross-country skiing, and mountain biking routes are important to this area. 

·        The Committee will provide both direct volunteer efforts at trail work as well as act as a “voice” to insure that other organizations and governmental departments support our efforts. 

·        The Committee will maintain an awareness and vigilance over the stewardship of area natural resources.
